PRINCIPAL AXES TECHNIQUE AND KINEMATIC HARDENING.

Abstract

The Principal Axes Technique is utilized in the analysis of evolution of kinematic hardening of solids. The objective Eulerian tensor rate is used to simplify the analysis. The new form of the evolution rule is examined for uniaxial loading and simple shearing deformation. The new model is found to be free of problems involving oscillation of stresses and shift encountered by other authors.
