Latest medical treatment strategies for venous thromboembolism
Abstract
Anticoagulant therapy with unfractionated heparin (UFH) followed by warfarin prevents thrombus extension, reduces the risk of recurrent thrombosis and prevents death in patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE).
