All-optical wavelength conversions based on MgO-doped LiNbO3 QPM waveguides using an EDFA as a pump source
Abstract
We propose and demonstrate cascaded /spl chi//sup (2)/ wavelength conversion in an MgO-doped LiNbO/sub 3/ quasi-phase-matched waveguide at reduced pump cost by using only an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) as the exclusive pump source in a fiber-ring resonator.
