A new field orientation control of dual three phase induction machines

Abstract

This paper provides an improvement in the rotor field orientation control of dual-three phase induction machines (DTPIM). The machine has two three phase windings spatially shifted by 30 electrical degrees. The dynamic model of the machine is based on the three two dimensional orthogonal subspaces. The proposed method uses a simple estimator for identifying rotor flux and its orientation. Space Vector PWM technique based on the space vector decomposition is employed. The simulation results illustrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed method. © 2004 IEEE.
