Electric field dependence of recombination kinetics in reaction centers of photosynthetic bacteria

Abstract

Time-resolved charge recombination has been measured by reflectance/absorption spectroscopic analysis of Langmuir-Blodgett films of reaction centers of the photosynthetic bacterium, Rhodopseudomonas sphaeroides over a wide range of applied electric field strengths.
