Stability of two-dimensional soft quasicrystals in systems with two length scales

Abstract

The relative stability of two-dimensional soft quasicrystals in systems with two length scales is examined using a recently developed projection method, which provides a unified numerical framework to compute the free energy of periodic crystal and quasicrystals.
