Dynamic jamming in dense suspensions: Surface finishing and edge honing applications

Abstract

This paper presents the proof-of-concept of an innovative finish machining process wherein material is removed by abrasives suspended in a dense aqueous mixture of cornstarch, which serves as a smart finishing medium.
