FIBRINOGEN-GLASS INTERACTIONS: A SYNOPSIS OF RECENT RESEARCH.

Abstract

A synopsis of research from the authors' laboratory over the past few years on fibrinogen-glass interactions is attempted. Relevant phenomenological data on adsorption kinetics, isotherms, desorption and exchange for the single protein system are discussed. The physical status of fibrinogen eluted from glass as evaluated by CD and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis is also discussed and correlated with results from the phenomenological studies.
