FLOW BEHAVIOUR IN GAS-STIRRED REACTORS WITH HEATED WALLS

Abstract

The transient flow field in a gas-stirred reactor with heated walls is studied using an existing computer code. The computer code can model the entire flow field in the vessel including the gas plume. The void distribution in the vessel is calculated using a void transport equation with an empirically determined diffusion coefficient.
