I am currently a Developmental Pediatrician & Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. My clinical site of practice is at Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre where I focus on the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) in children and youth, with a specific interest in the support and care for children with complex autism and related NDDs.
Since December 2024, I have been serving as the Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) Director for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. I was the program director for the McMaster Core Pediatrics Residency Program from 2021-2025 during which time I led the roll out of the Royal College’s Competence-By-Design curriculum for Core Pediatrics at McMaster.
I previously co-led the Equity Advocate and Allyship Program through Faculty Affairs at McMaster's Faculty of Health Sciences.
I am affilitated with the McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) and I am a Scholar with McMaster Education Research, Innovation and Theory (MERIT) Program.
I have previously served as the Vice-Chair, Chair and Past Chair of Physicians of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Advocacy (PONDA) Network (2017-2023), and have been a member of PONDA since 2016. I was also a member of the Section on Developmental Pediatrics with the Canadian Pediatric Society and a previous Board Member with Empowered Kids Ontario and SAAAC Autism Centre. In 2019, I was a member of the Ontario Autism Program’s Advisory Panel. I currently review content for Our Kids Health initiative.
