Dr. Renée Kennedy completed her medical degree at McGill University before pursuing a Family Medicine residency at McMaster University. She spent several years practicing at the Centre de santé Hamilton, where she gained extensive experience serving diverse and underserved communities.
Dr. Kennedy returned to McMaster Family Practice and the Department of Family Medicine as an Assistant Professor in November 2025. Her clinical interests include providing primary care for newcomers to Canada, supporting patients experiencing socioeconomic barriers to care, and providing comprehensive health care for women and gender-diverse individuals throughout all life stages. She is also committed to quality improvement, with a focus on enhancing clinical systems and processes, and is actively involved in medical education at the postgraduate level.
Dr. Kennedy is also the Faculty Development Coordinator for the Hamilton site.
