Overview

Dr. Jeffrey Kay is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at McMaster University and an orthopedic surgeon at McMaster University Medical Centre. He specializes in pediatric and adult sports medicine, with a clinical focus on shoulder and knee injuries, including instability and throwing-related conditions, as well as knee sports injuries.

 

Dr. Kay completed medical school, orthopedic surgery residency, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology at McMaster, followed by fellowship training in pediatric and adult sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Harvard University/Boston Children’s Hospital.

 

He is an active surgeon-scientist with a focus on outcomes-based research, evidence-based care, and clinical trials. He has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, serves as Director of Resident Research, and is the incoming Program Director for the McMaster Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program.
