Dr. Yanbo Guo, MD, FRCSC, DRCPSC, is an attending surgeon in Urology and Renal Transplantation at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and Hamilton Health Sciences, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University. He treats kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) and bladder cancer, and performs kidney and pancreas transplantation, robotic surgery, and other minimally invasive urologic procedures. Dr. Guo completed advanced fellowship training in kidney and pancreas transplantation at Western University and residency in urology at McMaster University, and holds a Master's in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality from Johns Hopkins University.
His research interests span renal transplantation, uro-oncology, and surgical innovation, with publications in journals including Urology and European Urology, and presentations at international conferences. Dr. Guo also serves on several institutional and national committees — including institutional credentials and surgical education committees at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and McMaster University, as well as committees with Canadian Blood Services and the Canadian Society of Transplantation.
