Maryam Ghasemaghaei is a Professor and Canada Research Chair in EDI issues in AI and the Area Chair of Information Systems at DeGroote School of Business (DSB) at McMaster University. She has been named as a University Scholar which recognizes the achievements of researchers who have distinguished themselves as exceptional scholars in research, teaching and service. She also received the Research Excellence Award at DSB which is given to the person who has consistently demonstrated excellence in research endeavours. Her research interests relate to the use of data analytics in organizations. Her works have appeared in top research outlets such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Business Research, and Communications of the Association for Information Systems. Maryam has served on the editorial boards of various journals and conferences in information systems. She has served on the editorial board of Decision Support Systems and Internet Research, as an Associate Editor for ICIS, and as a mini-track co-chair for HICSS and AMCIS.
