Dr. Cassandra Barber is a demographer, researcher, and educator specializing in health professions education. She holds a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Western Ontario and a PhD from the School of Health Professions Education at Maastricht University. Drawing on expertise in psychometrics, CBME, and applied educational research, her program of research focuses on advancing social accountability in health professions education. Dr. Barber’s research explores assessment validity, program evaluation, and linking education to population needs using large-scale data. Her interdisciplinary approach aims to ensure training systems are equitable, effective, and aligned with societal health needs, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
