I'm a teaching-stream faculty member (genetics focus) with a background in genome-wide association studies (GWAS). My teaching keeps evolving: right now it centers on evidence-based, student-centered approaches — clear explanations and expectations, active problem-solving, and real-world cases drawn from medicine and evolution. My goal is to spark curiosity and build confidence, while strengthening foundational genetics knowledge and core problem-solving skills. Ultimately, I aim to prepare students for success in upper-year courses and to open doors to research, professional programs, and other opportunities after undergrad.
