Dr. Salhab el Helou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and has served as the Division Head for the Division of Neonatology since 2015. He is also a staff neonatologist at McMaster Children's Hospital.
He is the endowed Jack Sinclair Chair in Neonatology for Quality Improvement (QI) and Patient Safety, a position he has held since 2018. Moreover, he holds a Masters in Management of Health Care Institutions from the Universities of Witten-Herdecke and Kaiserslautern, Germany. His interests and research/QI focus lie in safety culture. His other clinical interests include neonatal infection and antibiotic stewardship, as well as neonatal respiratory care.
