Global Peace and Social Justice
Overview
The Department of Global Peace and Social Justice seeks to understand the root causes of social injustice and violence at local, national, and international levels, aiming to mitigate, transform, and prevent conflicts while fostering equitable communities. This interdisciplinary program, drawing from the Humanities and Social Sciences, examines social conflict, violence, oppression, politics, and culture, combining historical analysis with contemporary justice-seeking methods to create transformative change. Through a diverse curriculum and community-based experiential learning, students are equipped with the skills to transform conflict into social solidarity.
