Manaf Zargoush

Dr. Manaf Zargoush is an assistant professor of Health Policy & Management at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. He holds Ph.D. in Healthcare Operations and Information Management (McGill University, Montreal, Canada), Ph.D. in Decision Science and Statistics (ESSEC Business School, Paris, France), MPhil (ESSEC Business School, Paris, France) and M.Sc. (Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran), respectively, in Decision Sciences and Socio-Economic Systems Engineering, and B.Sc. (Chamran University, Ahvaz, Iran) in Mechanical Engineering. His main areas of research expertise and interest are using data science (machine learning, statistics, statistical modeling, and computational methods) and optimization (dynamic optimization, Markov and Semi-Markov Decision Processes, Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes) for analyzing large electronic health records, healthcare analytics, big data analytics, healthcare operations management, and medical decision making. His current main projects are chronic disease (particularly hypertension) management under measurement noise and progression/trajectory analysis of disabilities among older adults.
