Overview

Dr. Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact and the Department of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and completed his residency and research training at McMaster University.

 

Dr. Wang is an Investigator at the Population Health Research Institute. His main interests are in perioperative cardiovascular medicine. He is the principal investigator of the DETECT-POAF and POAF polygenic risk score cohort studies. He is the project officer of the ASPIRE-AF trial and was previously the project officer of the COP-AF trial.
