Nooshin Salari
Assistant Professor, Operations Management

Overview

Nooshin Salari is currently an assistant professor at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. Prior to joining McMaster, Dr. Salari was an assistant professor at the University of Alberta. Before that, she was a research associate at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She also served as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow jointly appointed at the Department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, UC Berkeley, and the Rotman School of Management. She received her PhD in Operations Research from the University of Toronto in 2019.

 

Dr. Salari's research interests include data-driven decision-making with applications in supply chain management and large-scale optimization problems using the theory and application of Markov decision processes and approximate dynamic programming. Her research has been published in leading journals such as Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Annals of Operations Research, Operations Research Letters, International Journal of Production Economics, and Naval Research Logistics, among others.
