Celia Elaine Rothenberg
Associate Professor, Religious Studies

My research interests lie at the juncture of the anthropology of religion and gender. I am interested in religion as it is practiced, lived, challenged, and affirmed, particularly among Jews and Muslims.

I have focused on participants in a Jewish summer camp; the Jewish Renewal Movement; the Palestinian diaspora in Toronto; and the Palestinian village of Artas in the West Bank.
