Diabetes mellitus, a predictor of morbidity and mortality in the studies of left ventricular dysfunction (SOLVD) trials and registry

Abstract

Diabetes is an independent predictor of morbidity and mortality in patients with symptomatic heart failure, patients with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (defined as an ejection fraction of 35% or less), and in a broader registry population with less stringent entry criteria.
