Rationale and design of the Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion Study (LAAOS) III.
Abstract
BACKGROUND: Occlusion of the left atrial appendage (LAA) is a promising approach to stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation (AF). However, evidence of its efficacy and safety to date is lacking.
