Dysglycemia, not just diabetes, is a continuous risk factor for cardiovascular disease

Abstract

Dysglycemia is a continuous cardiovascular risk factor. Whether or not interventions that lower glucose levels will also lower cardiovascular risk remains to be determined. A number of ongoing studies may provide answers to this question. Recognition that these non-diabetic glucose levels confer an increased cardiovascular risk may suggest new ways for preventing CVD.
