Fibreoptic endoscopy of the upper gastrointestinal tract and its application in the Royal Navy.

Abstract

Abstract Fibreoptic endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract is now a well established technique and an invaluable diagnostic tool in the dyspeptic patient. In this paper the experience of 137 examinations carried out over a six month period at the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar is presented together with a discussion of the implications of this examination in the Royal Navy.
