Abstract
BACKGROUND: A recently completed trial, the Canadian Trial of Physiological Pacing (CTOPP), showed that physiological pacing did not significantly reduce mortality, stroke, or heart failure hospitalization, but it did show that atrial fibrillation occurred less frequently in patients with physiological pacing.
