Trisomy 18 as the first chromosome abnormality in a medullary breast cancer

Abstract

We report the occurrence of trisomy 18 in a case of medullary carcinoma disclosed by conventional cytogenetic investigations as well as by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), using a cytologic preparation.
