Asymptomatic bacteriuria and symptomatic urinary tract infections in pregnancy

Symptomatic and asymptomatic bacteriuria is common in pregnant women. A history of previous urinary tract infections and low socioeconomic status are risk factors for bacteriuria in pregnancy.
