Xylazine: An Emerging Threat in Obstetrics
Abstract
Xylazine, an alpha-adrenergic agent, is a common adulterant in the non-prescribed opioid supply. It has multiplicative sedative effects when used with opioids and these effects can negatively impact pregnancy.
