Abstract

Subwavelength metamaterials with tailored optical properties are becoming fundamental building blocks for the next generation of photonic integrated circuits. In this work, we present an overview of recent breakthroughs in this field, targeting applications in broadband modal and power management for the silicon on insulator platform.
