The earliest loaded iron bomb excavated from the Baidicheng fort site, Chongqing, China

Abstract

An iron bomb, still loaded, dating to the thirteenth century Southern Song dynasty was excavated from the Baidicheng Fort site, Chongqing, China. This loaded bomb is one of the oldest surviving such gunpowder weapons with the earliest remnants of black powder.
