International Morbidity Studies on Regional Anesthesia

Abstract

Morbidity studies concerning regional anesthesia have been published by authors in many countries. The purpose of the studies is to document the types of complications that are associated with the practice of regional anesthesia. The studies examine the causes and mechanisms leading to injury, the severity of the injury, the outcome with respect to recovery and survival, and the physician’s culpability in relation to the morbid event.
