Theoretical Exploration of Biosensing Using Hybrid Semiconductor Plasmonic Lasers

We present a new methodology for biosensing based on a hybrid plasmonic-semiconductor laser. We use the laser metal contact for plasmonic sensing while using an electrically pumped semiconductor heterostructure to produce TM gain.
