First and Higher-Order All-Optical Temporal Differentiators Based on Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

We introduce a general approach for Nth-order all-optical time differentiation using fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs). Arbitrary signals with bandwidths up to a few hundreds GHz can be accurately and efficiently processed using readily feasible FBGs.
