Abstract

Abstract Severe mucositis remains a serious complication of autologous PBPC transplantation. Keratinocyte growth factor/KGF (Palifermin) is a 28kd heparin-binding glycoprotein that specifically binds the KGF receptor resulting in a range of biological events including increased mucosal epithelial thickness.
