abstract

  • This chapter provides a response to chapter 14 to consider the similarities and differences between psychology and sociology and clarify common misconceptions. Findings from psychological studies demonstrating the importance of social power, personality, and social environments are presented. However, it is acknowledged that power structures in the broader macro system are rarely investigated in psychological bullying studies. The chapter concludes with a call for integrating research across disciplines to comprehensively understand and effectively prevent bullying.
