Comparison of high frequency winding modeling for stator health monitoring

Abstract

The purpose of machine stator health monitoring is to follow up the evolution of the insulation with aging. In this context, this paper focuses on the high-frequency equivalent models often used to ensure this monitoring. The most representative models of real high frequency behavior will be presented. After a comparative study of these models and their representability, we will present our proposal for a high frequency monitoring method. This last one is based on a numerical characterization of the stator admittance.
