Inverse design of SOI-based angled multimode interferometer wavelength division (de)multiplexers

Abstract

Angled multimode interferometers (AMMIs) offer an option for engineering optical dispersion for the wavelength division multiplexer. We propose and present experimental measurements for a prototype inverse-design two-port AMMI on the silicon-on-insulator (SOI) platform.
