IDH1 regulates phospholipid metabolism in developing astrocytes
Abstract
Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is an evolutionarily conserved enzyme that catalyzes the interconversion of isocitrate to α-ketoglutarate with the concomitant reduction of NADP(+) to NADPH. IDH1 has previously been shown to participate in lipid biosynthesis in various tissues such as the liver and adipose tissue.
