Thrombophilia and Hormonal Therapy in Adolescents

After first providing a review of inherited and acquired thrombophilias, the following chapter focuses on characterizing thrombosis risk associated with the various contraceptive options in thrombophilic adolescent girls and young women. Pertinent published data is discussed, including the limitations therein. Clinically relevant research gaps are presented at the end of the chapter.
