Some topics in reverse smoulder
Abstract
The role of thermal non-equilibrium and endothermic pyrolysis is discussed in the context of a simple model of reverse smoulder combustion. It is shown that nonequilibrium has little qualitative effect on the nature of the solutions, but endothermic pyrolysis can lead to quenching at sufficiently large blowing rates.
