On the hazard function of Birnbaum–Saunders distribution and associated inference

In this paper, we discuss the shape of the hazard function of Birnbaum–Saunders distribution. Specifically, we establish that the hazard function of Birnbaum–Saunders distribution is an upside down function for all values of the shape parameter.
