Differential effects of D1 and D2 dopamine agonists on stereotyped locomotion in rats

Abstract

The study examines the effect of selective D1 dopamine stimulation with SKF38393 (1.25-10 mg/kg), on stereotyped locomotion induced by the D2 agonist, quinpirole (0.5 mg/kg). Quinpirole induces repeated travel along a few routes in a limited portion of the environment.
