Abstract
Tumor necrosis factor-alpha is up-regulated in a variety of different human immune-inflammatory and fibrotic pulmonary pathologies. However, its precise role in these pathologies and, in particular, the mechanism(s) by which it may induce fibrogenesis are not yet elucidated.
