Learning and Homeostasis: Drug Addiction and the McCollough Effect
Abstract
The contribution of conditioned responses (CRs) to homeostasis may be seen by examining seemingly disparate phenomena of color vision (aftereffects and chromatic adaptation) and drug addiction (withdrawal symptoms and tolerance).
