abstract

  • Traumatic Foley catheterization and malplacement is a common urological consultation. Although most urethral injuries are self-resolving, there are reports of long-standing complications, including urethral strictures, false passage formation, fistulization, and penile necrosis.1 We present a case of a malpositioned Foley catheter leading to the formation of a dorsal penile artery pseudoaneurysm resulting in transfusion-dependent anemia and severe urethrorrhagia.
