abstract

  • The lifetime of the 267-keV state in 93Zr has been determined by delayed coincidence studies using scintillation detectors. The value measured is T1/2 = (1.45 ± 0.05) × 10−9 s. The B(E2) value for this transition is approximately equal to that for the one-phonon ground-state transitions in 92Zr and 94Zr. This result indicates that the 267-keV level is probably a member of a core-excitation multiplet.
