PARAMETRIC STUDY OF THIN-FILM COMPOSITE POLYAMIDE-TYPE REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANES.

Abstract

Thin-film composite polyamide reverse osmosis membranes constitute one of the newer and more successful types of membranes currently being applied to many industrial applications including wastewater treatment, brackish water conversion and others. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the performance of several thin-film composite polyamide reverse osmosis membranes in terms of the operating conditions for the solute sodium chloride. Further, the data obtained are correlated in terms of the Kimura-Sourirajan and the finely-porous transport models.
