Photophysics of Short Chain Luminescent Organic Polymers by Single Molecule Techniques

Abstract

The fluorescent transients of optically excited single short-chain polymers of a luminescent PPV derivative are observed. In contrast to long-chain polymers, multiple equal steps are observed indicating chromophores both align and act independently.
